8th Annual Dickens Horror Film Festival | Saturday, September 30th | 4:00 pm 

Step into the eerie world of cinema at the 2023 Dickens Horror Film Festival – where Fear meets Film on the Front Range. Join us for a spine-chilling experience at our 8th annual showcase of contemporary and classic horror movies, packed into a single thrilling day and night.
 
As the sun sets, we'll transport you to the historic and haunted Dickens Opera House for night screenings that will send shivers down your spine. And that's not all – between hauntingly good films, indulge in drinks and the exquisite culinary offerings of Roots Restaurant for a complete sensory delight.

Happy Hour Mat Classes | Thursday, October 5th | 5:15 pm 

Join Syd & Kate from Align Training Pilates for two very special mat classes in October at The Dickens Opera House. Class is open to all ages and abilities, and the $30 ticket price includes mat class and one happy hour beverage. Come early and/or stay late to enjoy food & libations from Roots Restaurant. 

A Fantasy Fashion Show | Friday, October 6th | 7:00 pm - 11:30 pm

 
 
Join Boutique by Issa for an unforgettable evening of fantasy and an irresistible fashion show at Paradiso, Presented by Boutique By Issa! Join us as we showcase local models in our carefully curated pieces, all made by hand by small batch, femme designers. Inspired by divine entities and gardens of paradise, we are bringing a diverse and unique experience!
This fantasy lingerie fashion show will take place on Friday Oct 6 2023 at 300 Main Street, Longmont, CO 80501. Doors open at 7:00 pm and the show begins at 8:00 pm!
After the show, there will be an after party to mingle with fellow attendees and forge new connections in a vibrant, diverse and welcoming atmosphere. Indulge in delicious food and drinks from Roots restaurant located inside of the venue! Don’t forget to stop by our Photo Booth with Blue Eclipse Photography for some cute photos. Check out some beautifully handmade floral Harnesses by Pressed To Impress.

FREE Art Lesson | Thursday, Nov 16th | 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

 
 
Join Coy Ink Studio for a free drawing lesson at the Historic Dicken's Opera House! Supplies are included - limited to the first 10 people that arrive. Feel free to bring your own sketchbook or art supplies for the lesson too! :)

Starting from 2-5 pm you can come see me working on a drawing/painting of the Dicken's Opera House or start a self-guided tour of this historic space. Artwork will be for sale and you can hang out downstairs for happy hour while you wait for the lesson to start.

About Dickens opera house

Dickens Opera House is a historic landmark located in Longmont, Colorado. Originally built in 1881 by William Henry Dickens, the building served as a prominent opera house in the late 1800s and early 1900s, hosting various performances and events. The Opera House opened for business in 1882, and it housed many ventures over the years. It was home at one time to the Longmont Ledger (local newspaper), and Farmers National Bank (which Dickens founded), and in 1885, it served as the home to the Longmont College. Today, the Dickens Opera House is a popular venue for live music, dining, and private events, offering a unique blend of history and modern entertainment. With its charming Victorian-era architecture and lively atmosphere, the Dickens Opera House is a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike.
